Happy New Year Everyone!
I am so grateful for God's faithfulness! I am grateful for a God who takes care of us, who does what He says He will do, and who knows and understands our pain.
Some of the blessings I received last year:
~health
~my financial needs were met
~I had food to eat
~I had clothes to wear
~I had additional resources to give to others
~ protection
~ a need met before it was a need
......to name a few!
Some unexpected gifts:
~ an encouraging note
~ a work bonus
~ a necklace

As we begin this new year here is a question to ponder...
Is Jesus merely useful to you--or is he ultimately beautiful to you?
I recently read this question and it has stuck with me and made me think. Is Jesus just a super man or magic formula to get what I want? Or, is He so beautiful that I search for his face in my life? Is Jesus a gadget that makes my life better or is He my joy?
I don't know about you, but my desire for this next year is that my attitude would be,"God, move my heart, so the world can be changed." I don't want to be the person that just wants God to move their world.
Am I a Jesus-user-- or a Jesus-adorer?
"Looking for the beauty of Christ in the everyday isn’t some quaint exercise in poetry. It’s a critical exercise in staying alive." Ann Voskamp
"But let those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them, let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee." ~Psalm 5:11
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life; in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore."
~Psalm 16:11
So this next year, let Jesus be the Beautiful Redeemer who calls you Beloved and not just a business-like helper.
